One of the Best Parts About Coming Home

Every time I’ve come home from New York, I’ve dug up an old treasure - old photos, an article of clothing I’ve been looking for, etc. This time around, while cleaning my closet, I found something very awesome. My personal constitution from March 20, 2000.

In junior high, Mr. Jamie Richards - one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, gave us the task of writing personal constitutions for our futures - basically detailing what we anticipate our education and career, family and home, morals and religion, and living standards to be when we are big kids. I read through the constitution and had some mixed feelings about what I read (I wanted to become a pro LPGAer and become a doctor as my “back up plan”). I then got to Article III, Section 4 of my personal constitution and was so proud, not only of what I wrote in 2000, but also of the fact that I did [mostly] what I envisioned for myself as a grown up.

Section 4

I will dress sophisticated. I don’t think I would have any tattoos or piercings in weird places. Tattoos are there forever and I wouldn’t want to have something that I would later soon regret doing. I might get piercings in my ears, but no weird places like my butt or anything…

So, I don’t know about the dressing sophisticated thing but…I promise I don’t have piercings in any weird places like my butt or anything. Me successful.
